FAQ
▸ HOMEWhat is this?
A satirical career roguelike for engineers. Sign in with GitHub, get gently roasted into a character, then play out a fictional tech career in about five minutes — chasing money and equity while dodging layoffs, burnout, and the third AI pivot this quarter.
Do you read my private repos or my code?
No. We read only your public GitHub profile — languages, stars, repo counts, that sort of thing. We never request access to private repositories. The permission we ask for is read:user, nothing more.
What do you actually store?
We don't keep a copy of your GitHub data. We store your handle, the character we generated, and your run scores — just enough to show your card and put you on the leaderboard. That's it.
How is my character generated?
Plain, tunable rules over your public stats: finished vs. abandoned repos, stars, languages, longest streak. It's satire derived from real signals — true enough to sting, not a performance review.
Is the roast accurate?
Lovingly, no. It's a joke. If it reads like career advice, we consider that a bug.
What's the daily seed?
Everyone plays the same randomized career each day, Wordle-style. Same conditions means scores are comparable — which is the whole point of bragging.
Can I play more than once a day?
You can replay today's run. A free-play mode with fresh random runs is on the way.
Is it free?
Yes. No ads, no paywall, no 'unlock your true potential for ₹999'.
Can I share my run?
Please do — every run makes a brag card you can post, and the link lets a friend play your exact seed and try to beat you.
